Rustic Retreats of Big Bear

Great truly amazing home with a breathtaking view of the lake. Fireworks over the lake on Fourth of July were amazing. Seeing the eagles and eaglets and all the other wildlife around was such a treat too! The home is truly special will definitely look to book again in the future. Our family had a wonderful time and everything was perfect!

My wife, dog and I had a wonderful stay this past 4th of July weekend! The location was beautiful and we spent most of our weekend either on the front patio overlooking the golf course and mountains or in the backyard in the hammock or sitting by the fire. Everything was very comfortable inside as well (naps are a must when sitting inside on one of the rocking chairs!). Mike was super responsive to any questions or requests we had and we would go back to this location in a heartbeat.

This home was absolutely beautiful clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The outdoor space was both relaxing and fun, with a clean jacuzzi and a firepit that made for perfect evening gatherings. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Just a small heads-up: if you're sleeping upstairs, it can get a bit warm if the windows are kept closed. Fortunately, the home is well-equipped with plenty of fans to help with air circulation.

We had an incredible stay over the 4th of July weekend - 2 adults and 5 teenagers - and this home was absolutely ideal. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing getaway - pool table, hot tub, lots of games. The location was perfect, just across from the lake, and it was super easy to rent paddle boards and other lake gear from a shop just 5 minutes away. We rented a boat to watch the fireworks on the 4th on the lake, which made for a truly unforgettable night! The hosts were responsive and thoughtful, and the house felt like a true home away from home. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Great place for a family getaway in Big Bear. It was clean, comfortable, and a perfect fit for our family of four. The location was perfect—close to everything but still quiet. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We’d definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Mike’s place. The cabin was very clean and exactly what we expected to be. The montain view from the front porch is breathtaking and the backyard is perfect for the barbecue and jacuzzi. We enjoyed every second and will definitely come back to this beautiful place. Awesome everything, back yard is beautiful, but so is everything! Best jacuzzi I’ve ever been in, killer jets, awesome Mountain and ski slope View’s under the stars! I could of found a cheaper place, but it would have been just another cabin, I wanted something special and that’s what we got. Ad said it had 2 bedrooms and 2 beds, but It has a loft with another bed, so it has 3 beds. Thanks for awesome 4th of July weekend!

We loved our stay over the holiday! Our two young kids had a blast exploring the grounds. Very convenient location close to the marina for boat rentals and just a few minutes drive from town.

We had such a great time at the Little Red Cabin for 4th of July weekend! Mike is an excellent host and the space was just as deceived. We would definitely stay here again!
