To Eat

Big Bear has some great restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Here are a few of my favorites. Let me know if you have any recommendations.

Himalayan: This is some if the best Indian food I have ever had. Trust me, you'll want to try the vegetable samosas and the Palak Aloo. Located in the village.  They deliver as well. No outside places for dogs to sit unfortunately. 672 Pine Knot, Suite 2 Big Bear Lake, Ca. 92315

Saucy's Mommas: Great Big Bear Pizza shop that is so popular they expanded so now plenty of room inside and outside. Highly recommend the specialty Margarita Mix pizza with red sauce. Moonridge Coffee Company:  Local coffee made fresh by a real barista. Great breakfast and bakery items too. Highly recommend and very close in Moonridge. They do close early though. If you can, go to the open mic on Fridays starting at 4pm and jam with some local talent. Dogs allowed on the patio. 42646 Moonridge Rd Big Bear Lake, CA 92315

Bear Belly Deli: Bear Belly Deli (say that three times fast) features Boar's Head brand meats and cheeses for the very best sandwich in town. Create your own sandwich just the way you like it. Choose the meat, cheese, bread and toppings. The menu also includes top of the line burgers, hot grilled sandwiches, savory soups and a variety of deli sides and green salads. There is a fireplace to provide warmth for chilly winter days, and two patios for those lazy summer afternoons. All in all, it's a cozy, friendly spot that truly captures Big Bear's charm. Murray's Saloon and Eatery: The local bar to go to in Big Bear for karaoke and just to hang out or shoot some pool. Small bar but one of the best in Big Bear. They have some of the best food as well. It looks like a dive bar- but the grilled cheese is outstanding. Open til at least midnight most nights and 2am on weekends. There is a back patio for you and your dog. 672 Cottage Ln Big Bear Lake, CA 92315
